The staff and instructors of the Arts and Athletics afterschool pogram are typically certified teachers or subject area specialists. Staff turn-over is very low and it is not uncommon for our instructors to stay with the organization for decades. A number of our veterans have been with us for over twenty years.
Stability in staffing helps to cultivate an atmosphere where every employee has a leadership role and is invested in the longterm health of the organization. Key to this ethic of growth in the organization is our commitment to professional development.
For the 2017-18 school, and in compliance with the New York State Department of Health, all Arts and Athletics employees will complete the online course, “Foundations in Health and Safety” to help ensure the wellbeing of the children in our care.
